deal of the day, no the YEAR!!

I was out at some sales with my Mom on Saturday, and I was looking around at one sale. I saw 3 baskets sitting on the floor. I calmly asked the seller how much they were, and she said $2 each!! SOLD!! They were all Longenberger baskets which sell for a lot more!! My Mom used to sell them so I know how valuable they were, so I was SO excited about my deal of the YEAR!! I am going to use the larger one for all of our remote controls in our family room, and add the others to my large collection!

simple life

Tonight I went over my bestfriend Melissa's house for a Tastefully Simple party. Let me tell you, don't eat before you go! There was so much to try...yum! I decided on Beer Bread, and Ay Caramba cheese ball mix... I might have to put in another order for some more!!! I can't wait to make it up!

the land of oz

Maybe just a month ago, I learned that Frank L Baum, author of The Wizard of Oz, was born in Chittenago (in Syracuse) and there is a museum!! The Wizard of Oz is my favorist movie and I have tons of memorabilia; so when I heard this I HAD to go! Since we were already in Syracuse, Mike and I stopped in Chittenago before leaving the area. We went searching for the museum but no such luck :( It turns out that the museum is closed and moving to the local library in November. I was kinda bummed, I walked the yellow brick sidewalk and the little town had stores with names inspired by the movie: Ruby Reds Diner, Auntie Em's Pies, Emerald City Grill, and Oz and Ends!!

The the way back from Chittenago, we decided to stop at some wineries.. We decided on Seneca Lake. We visited Belhurst, White Springs, and Fox Run. I think our favorite was White Springs winery. We tasted 6 wines, and we decided to get Sportsman (dry red wine) and Springhouse White (sweet white wine). YUM!!!

Today we went to the wedding of our friends Spencer and Brittney. They had the perfect day for an outdoor wedding, and everything turned out perfect! Their ceremony and reception were outdoors. The wedding was in Syracuse so we decided to stay the night, and go to the wineries the next day.

Congratulations Brittney and Spencer, we're so happy for you!!

uno, dos, tres

One of our favorite restraunts is the Uno Chicago Grill. They have one of the best steaks,their deep dish pizza is sooo good, and their french onion soup is out of this world! But the main reason we go there is their Deep Dish Sundae. It contains a hot fresh big cookie, vanilla icecream, whipped cream and chocolate sauce to top it off, baked in a dep dish pan. YUMM!! Maybe we'll go there after I get out of work today!!!

Many people have been telling me that I must watch the show "Dog Wisperer" with Cesar Millan on the National Geographic channel because I have a 9 month old puppy. The other night Mike and I had it on. We both got some good tips from Cesar and we will be watching it again! Coco LOVED watching it also, just look at the pics!!

Mike and I picked up our new ride today!! We love it! It is a 2008 Saturn Vue. What a difference than my Chevy Prizim! More pics to come of the new SUV in my gallery. Check it out shortly!

wimbledon

It's that time of year again for Wimbledon and the final for the Men's Championship was this morning between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. It was an awesome match between the two and it ended with Federer winning his 5th straight championship. Since I tune in every year I would loveee to go there sometime in the future and watch some tennis!!
