rochester's flower show
Back in the beginning of March I went to the Rochester Flower Show. There was so many beautiful displays, tons of spring flowers everywhere.
These tulips looked like a type of rose!
one of the amazing bonsai plants.
I can't wait to see next years show. Be sure to check a flower show in your own town!

blooms blooming
I was hanging outside and took some pictures of the blooms blooming in our gardens. Forsythia, daffodils, and many others. I love this time of year to see everything turning green and hear the birds chirping right when I wake up in the morning.
Since I have taken these pics last Friday, my many forsythia bushes have turned into bright yellow blobs. They are so gorgeous, I wish they bloom all year round.

festival of lilacs
Tonight Mike and I went to the Lilac Festival in Rochester. It has been a couple of years since we've been, and I thought it would be nice to see all the beautiful lilacs ( and to get some yummy fried dough!!). We got there pretty late and most of the vendors were closing but it was stil nice to walk around and see the lilacs. The last day for the festival is tomorrow, if you are from the Rochester area you should check it out!!

Flowers are in bloom...
All my plants are in bloom right now, and they are all so beautiful! I was outside yesterday in the nice weather with Coco and took some shots of the flowers in my yard. A flowering tree, lilacs and a bleeding heart to name a few. I am disappointed to see that I don't have many blooms on my dogwood tree this year compared to last year. Everyday it seems that there is something new blooming. And there will definitely will be when I plant a couple of azaleas and a hydrangea to my garden that I just got! I love this time of year!

everything is coming up roses
I bought 3 rose bushes at the Christmas Tree Shop for only $4 each the other day. As most of you know I heart that shop. So I thought I would try these plants out to see if they would stay alive... or if I could keep them alive! They are already sprouting! I am going to update their progress every now and then!

Wellies!!

Since it is finally feeling like SPRING out there, I have lots of work to do in the yard and gardens. It is appropiate to find the perfect footwear for yard work. My next purchase will be WELLIES! Wellies (aka Wellington Boots) are boots that waterproof and are most often made from rubber. They are usually worn when walking on wet or muddy ground, or to protect the wearer from heavy showers. They are generally just below knee-high. Check out Wikipedia for history on the Wellington Boot.
These will be perfect for all my spring garden work, plus as a added bonus they are sooo cute looking.
Check out this site of all different designs and well as fun umbrellas!!
